Company receives eight safety awards across multiple facilities.
Shurtape Technologies, LLC, an industry-leading manufacturer and marketer of adhesive tape and consumer home and office products, is honored to be the recipient of the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) Safety Awards for 2025 safety performance. This year, our facilities received seven gold awards and one silver award.
Administered through the NCDOL’s Education, Training and Technical Assistance Bureau of the Occupational Safety and Health Division, the Annual Safety Awards program recognizes private and public firms that achieve and maintain good safety records. To qualify for a safety award, companies must maintain an incident rate of at least 50 percent below their industry average. According to the NCDOL, the program is designed to stimulate interest in accident prevention and promote safety in the workplace safety by providing employers and employees with an incentive to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
The NCDOL presented the awards to company recipients during its Safety Awards Banquet on May 20 in Hickory, NC:
Gold Awards
- Catawba Manufacturing (Catawba, NC): Second Consecutive Year
- Stony Point Manufacturing (Stony Point, NC): Third Consecutive Year
- Catawba Distribution Center (Catawba, NC): Fourth Consecutive Year
- Headquarters (Hickory, NC): Sixth Consecutive Year
- R&D (Hickory, NC): Eighth Consecutive Year
- Administrative Building (Hickory, NC): 13th Consecutive Year
- Traffic Department (Catawba, NC): 16th Consecutive Year
Silver Award
- Hudson Manufacturing (Hudson, NC)
