Securing Sustainable Lifecycles

Renewable and Recycled Content in Our Products

As a leading manufacturer of adhesive solutions, we continually work to improve our organization to be a responsible business that benefits our employees, our customers and the communities in which we operate. That continuous improvement mindset guides our decision-making process to ensure we provide the highest-quality products that are developed and produced in a manner that minimizes our environmental footprint by reducing waste, conserving resources and promoting renewable energy sources.

That commitment extends to our products through our focus on Securing Sustainable Lifecycles, ensuring adherence to ethical and environmentally conscious business practices throughout our supply chain. We do this by enhancing the beginning-of-life through use of more renewable and recycled resources, ensuring the useful-life is easy to implement and reliable, and improving end-of-life by being more responsible through tape use or recyclability.

What are Renewable Materials?

Proportion, by mass, of renewable materials that are made of natural resources that can be replenished at a rate equal to or greater than the rate of depletion (use) generation after generation. These include:

  • Forest certified paper
  • Bio-based plastics (from non-petroleum-based sources or from sources that qualify as a “renewable material”)
  • Bio-based materials (from sources that qualify as a “renewable material,” such as corn, cotton, bamboo, sugarcane, etc.)
  • Responsibly sourced natural rubber and derivatives (Latex)

What are Recycled Materials?

Proportion, by mass, of recycled materials that are repurposed into a product or packaging.  These materials may be recovered from:

  • Post-Industrial waste, which refers to waste generated from the manufacturing process that led to the creation of the source material
  • Post-Consumer recycled content, which refers to finished goods that are used and then recycled

Most often, recycled materials replace a portion of raw or virgin materials. Recycled materials may include:

  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Metal
  • Plastics
  • Glass
  • Tires
  • Aluminum

Looking for a Sustainable Solution?

We are proud to craft and supply tape solutions that are designed and manufactured with renewable and/or recycled materials. Look for products that carry our Renewable Resource Quotient (RRQ). These marks describe the percent of renewable or recycled materials (by mass) in a product.
