Planting The Seed
Communities and companies have long relied upon each other for success. For communities, investments from companies help develop neighborhoods, attract other businesses and enrich the lives of community members. For companies, building that bond creates trust, fosters a positive culture and helps create a foundation from which the company can grow.
That’s why we remain a strong supporter of the communities in which we operate – because we know every hour, every dollar, every roll of product donated makes an impact.
Making a Difference
At Shurtape, we strive to improve the lives of others through educational opportunities, community outreach, charitable donations and volunteer programs. Here are a few of the ways in which we have given back to our communities recently:
- Our Ohio and North Carolina locations partnered with the Kids in Need Foundation to host a Backpack Build, benefiting local schools in both areas. Teams gathered to pack 400 backpacks to be delivered to schools in need in the Lorain County, OH and Hickory, NC areas.
- For years, we have partnered with the corporate work study program at Saint Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland, Ohio, which provides exceptional students with the opportunity to experience a professional work environment while attending high school.
- Our North Carolina employees participate in an annual funds drive to support United Way – and we have since its founding in our community in 1943. Our lifetime contributions between employee donations and company match totals more than $2.2 million in support of those in need.
“Shurtape also provides countless product and financial donations to support arts, recreation, education and social services in our local communities,” says Allison Shagovac, Community Relations Manager. “In 2021, we contributed nearly a quarter of a million dollars to our local communities in support of a range of programs and activities, in addition to donating countless rolls of tape, and continue to look for opportunities to invest in our communities to see how we can help make a difference.”
